But what on earth is up with the swamp crypts? We've been sailing around for days searching for them, small swamps, large swamps, no crypts. Today we finally decided that enough was enough and did some flying around to scout and the most amount of crypts we found in a swamp was 3?

They used to be so plentiful, and one needs a massive amount of iron for crafting and building, but it's so scarce all of a sudden? This combined with the added difficulty of abominations has made the swamps go from "kind of the low point" to an absolutely abysmal experience.

I tried looking through the patch notes for any information on if crypts have been nerfed but didn't really find anything.

Yes they added 3 lesser crypts, there is only 1 instance of the old ones left in the RNG, so its a 1 in 4 for an old "Crypt". I Assume they did this cause you can now get Iron in Mistlands.
