The new Mistwalker Sword is triple damage too (once upgraded), with Slash, Frost and Spirit. But tbf, Spirit has only very niche use as damage type since almost everything is immune to it anyway.
While the one handed Blunt weapon meta has been somewhat subverted this update, one thing to keep in mind is that most of the new gear, at least at current achievable upgrade levels, is more of a sidegrade.
What makes them shine in the Mistlands is that Seeker's are resistant to all physical damage (Blunt, Slash and Pierce), and some of the new weapons being elemental hybrids.
Outside of that though, they barely deal more damage (<10) elsewhere, at higher stamina costs.
Frostner is actually pretty good in Mistlands, sporting still the highest elemental weapon Damage (excluding the new magic, esp. op Fire Staff).
