I died way more because I run somewhere unprepared than being overrun by mob spawns.

When I go journey all I pack is spare armor and some stuff for portal and a workbench, build it when I find something move back, get my upgraded stuff and steamroll back via portal.

Works like a charm.

I tend to die in the swamp, when i forget to bring the potions, or i go out at night without rested bonus.
