It has two attacks.
The poke and this giant aoe that hits everything around you.

I can kill normal dwarfs and shamans in 2 hits (this includes 2 aoe sweep attacks)
Brutes in 3 hits.
and 1-2 star creatures in 2-4 hits

That is pretty much on par with the bronze axe, as far as killing things.

One hit most things that are not 1 star. Two hits for 1 star. Three for brutes. Thereabouts.

I've been using nothing but axe for melee (bow for ranged, duh) since I started, so skill is pretty high.
