yeah well then remove armor and shields entirely if we're just supposed to Bloodborne the entire game.

This is kind of what I'm getting at.

I know how to avoid hits entirely. I can roll, I can bait out attacks and then move. But we have shields and armor so that not every engagement has to be a dodge fest. It's like shields went from being S tier to F tier.

I am way better off not equipping a shield now at all. Blocking is a liability. I shouldn't be mining and spending all these resources on something that is a net loss to my combat performance.
