If you remember what normal progression was like then I would say figure out your answer based on whether you want more of that. Progression still stops at the same point but a bunch of things have been added largely from swamp progression onwards.

So if you played from scratch it would take a fairly lengthy stretch of very familiar early-game stuff to get there. I do not think the current content added since the start of early access is a substantial enough reason on its own to start another playthrough. It is a reason, but if doing all of the stuff to get there does not interest you then you have a good chance of burning out before you see it.

If you can't wait until whenever Mistlands is coming then bringing friends or using mods could spice things up. Or maybe tailor the game to move through early progression faster.
