So this is a relatively minor thing, but necks. The lizard things. They're one of the few enemies in the game that isn't guaranteed to drop something when you kill it, which given that the tails are pretty useful early game for mince meat sauce and poison resistance poisons, kind of makes sense: those are very useful in the early game, so you don't necessarily want it to be easy to make them.

BUT the thing is that since they only spawn in the meadows, it's not like hunting necks is hard or challenging. You can run around unarmed and naked and not be seriously threatened by the things that spawn in early meadows, especially at day.

Which means that gathering enough neck tails isn't a challenge, it's a chore, and a sometimes frustrating one when you could kill five of them but not get a single tail.

Just wondering if anyone else finds it annoying and if there's any plans to fix this in some way, like...

- Make them tame-able so you could farm a steady supply
- Increase the chance of them dropping a tail, or even just guarantee them dropping a tail.
- Make them spawn more frequently, in larger numbers, and/or in a wider variety of biomes (the dark forest and the swamp, for example).
- Make them guaranteed to drop something else ("neck scales"), that, I dunno, can be used to craft a slingshot or something.

It's a minor thing, I thoroughly enjoy this game otherwise.

Find places with small rivers or ponds. Also I've seen that they'll also have a tendancy to spawn more in the open meadows near the coast more too.

I've also anecdotally seen them spawn in those areas more if there is a boar spawning stone too.

Lastly, rain storms. They'll spawn way way more in rain storms. In the earlier game when I needed their tails, if there was a rainstorm, I made for the places I knew they spawned most and the open meadows near a river/coast and easily could get 10-20 tails a storm, especially if it were a night one. Leave render distance and come back too for slightly faster spawning.
