I don't know Tribes of Midgard but I did play Northgard and this game is completely different.
I love this game with friends but if you don't have access to friends or a private server to play on the solo play can become tedious and frustrating (though it is doable)
I cannot stress enough that this is very easy on the survival side (as someone else mentioned) you don't NEED to eat or sleep to stay alive but you do need to eat to fight anything bigger then a boar.
I would really recommend this game even if it wasn't onsale as something you should have in your library to support the devs.
