I always bring bow, pole axe, sword, mace and axe (mainly for chopping wood) with me all the time. I use all of them based on enemy weakness and mostly on different circumstances (f*** ledges)

Bow for range. Pole axe if i want to clear enemies midrange and to get out of group attack (spin to win). Sword/mace/axe and board for close range mostly on 1v1 situation. It's very heavy to haul all that weapon but that is what I bring when exploring new areas. And when exploring very far away from home one weapon is not enough for me since I kill every enemy I see on sight.

And for people asking why not use portal. I limit myself 1 portal per island for fun.
