Just a note on that thing you said regarding the Cult of the Wolf. I think that was all of it.honestly, thats shabby. I wouldnt have bought the game if i knew then. There should be laws against false advertisement, seriously.
There are laws against false advertisement, but this doesn't fall under them. You had to click a special contract when getting this game that it was an EA title, meaning it was not done and is a work in progress. They are guilty of over ambition, not playing us false. An ambition they have since tempered and honed. If you've talking about that first roadmap they put out at the start of EA, they flat out said they're eyes were bigger then their stomach on that one, scaled back a bit and shifted focus to smaller updates with an eye for stability of gameplay. We've gotten the Hearth and Home update, we've got the (hopefully just start) of the Cult of the Wolf part. Combat has seen some updates, cooking was brought up to the level of other crafting stations for complexity, and a ton of build items, armor, weapons, enemies, and the like have been added since H&H. They're doing a hell of a lot better then most EA titles.
Slow and steady wins the race. Burning out the developers means everyone loses.
To clarify here's a statement found in their 1st of March news update:
"When Valheim was released into early access little over a year ago, we also released a roadmap which we sadly had to cancel in May. On that cancelled roadmap we had an update called “Cult of the Wolf”. While we’re no longer calling it that, these frost caves are essentially that update."
If I had to guess, they probably felt that the original naming came loaded with too many expectations such as an organised faction or a notable plot extension, so they opted for the less committal 'Mountain Caves' which would house whatever remnants of that idea that they had time to cram in.
I wouldn't fully rule out the possibility of smaller additions to the mountain caves just yet though. Old places have been given new enemies and materials before. And the less descript name has the advantage of being less conceptually confining.
