i know this ive played a good bit. I just died and went to the place i died at and its gone. now symbol on the map. obviously i know those things if im complaning about it being gone.

Why would you refuse to use the dev commands? That is literally what they were put there for, if a bug breaks something, you can fix it. You are basically putting a restriction on yourself that kills your own fun. Doesn't make any sense.
