ThunderStore plus ThunderStore mod manager is it.
Once ThunderStore mod manager is installed, you can use it to browse around 1600 mods and download them directly from the app. It can also help you with maintaining your mods, looks for updates and stuff.
Really recommendable. Modding without ThunderStore is a chore.
Please be aware that modding is currently not officially supported. It is HIGHLY recommended that you start backing up your important data (including save games) periodically, before you start modding.
