better option would be if the devs set it up so the player could choose their own sound tracks for in game status events. That way players could customize the audio environment of the game to fit their tastes.

This is an absolutely amazing idea. Have you considered making a more detailed post on the forum so it could get more exposure? I'd love to fight a boss and have Powerwolf hype me through the boss. The normal soundtrack is amazing on it's own, but simply the choice to customize the ambiance would add a lot of value to the game and momentum. Normal soundtrack almost makes me want to take a nap after an hour of playing because of how soothing it naturally is.
