You also had almost 2 years to learn about them 5 biomes. Due to the wiki, Youtube videos and just forum talk that's a lot of preparation and advice to take in. Perhaps you used none of that at all. Whatever you still learned from past mistakes. Now there is a totally new biome that you are struggling in. A new biome that is meant, as all other biomes before it, to be harder than the last. Take your time to get to know it. Learn from it and of your mistakes and failings and I bet in time you will be mastering this one too.
