See, i was elevating more land in order to expand my base. This requires tons, TONS, of stone and because i didn't have any more in stock, i had to take time to mine stone instead of investing all that time in building.

In summation, because i didn't have stone in stock i had to waste time bouncing from mining to building instead of focusing entirely on building.
