It's kind of unfortunate how true this seems to me. I went through the patch notes and kept wondering where the major update was. If this is what they can do with 8 months than I'm pretty worried.

There is a lot more to it. They didn't spend 8 months on this, they spent 2. They spent the other 6 on bugfixing and a ton of background stuff, like hiring new people and so on.

Calling this an 8 month job as some people do is blatant misinformation, please don't get dragged into it.
