Valheim generates maps based on seed name to try keeping exploration fresh and helps the map from being too repetitive but it needs more variation. Valheim also has slightly more advanced melee combat than the other games you mentioned. You can block, perfect block, roll and use two kinds of attacks on most weapons. It's also a very pve focused game for smaller coop groups and not really for huge servers of people. Valheim also doesn't just cause you to drop loot on death, you also lose stats which can get a little punishing at higher levels or in some cases I've seen people who repeatedly die just not advance in skills and struggle. The dungeons I've encountered so far are boring so I don't explore to find points of interest as much as to find resources or bosses.

Ark has mostly static maps and less advanced melee combat but the quality and detail of Ark's maps are really nice and it's better for huge groups on a single server or for heavy pvp focus.

Sons of the forest has very interesting crafting and AI, is much more immersive in general, and has better looking enemies. However, the map is static, there's no dodge button for combat, and death is not really punishing.

I enjoyed the exploration of no man's sky but outside of hardcore mode I found it lacking punishment for death and thought it had some extremely boring enemies and even more lackluster creatures. The combat has apparently received a huge update since I played, however.
