Here's the current base I'm working on, all bronze age tech so easy and early. You can see it's all supported by core wood with regular wood filling in the walls and floors. I raised the ground where it sticks out way over the water so I only need to use 1 core wood beam to support it. The main structure is elevated to keep it from swamping during storms.
