it deflates the hype associated with early access in general. there is a bit of a covenant between customers and businesses, and even if it isnt a legal matter, it can still violate trust.

but no, obviously steam wont ban them. everyone will just need to be more cautious with early access and projected roadmaps.

i think the issue people have is, they could have just not released the roadmap at all. but they did, in an effort to get people to trust that more content was coming. once bitten, twice shy.
