They used to run away they second they became "alerted" (the red exclamation mark) but now they, more often than not, just stand there for at least a couple seconds.

Yea, my small group of friends and I all noticed it right away and were disappointed. Doesn't 'ruin' the game or anything, but still removed that wild feeling.
