This is not true, events can happen anywhere... but not inside caves, or inside crypts, etc. When you are walking or running about, an event can take place any where.

Cleared troll caves are just that, cleared, go take a nap in one, go afk, pack your pipe and have a bong and a blintz.. it's all good in there.
