Sometimes it drops near fire instead of you grabbing it. You can just stand a bit closer then.

I use 2 racks and angle them off so its easier to select each prong. It helps if you make a chair or bench near the fire. Seems easier to select individual prongs or clips that way.

It makes a sizzling sound when food is ready to come off and the meat gets more brown instead of red.
