Honestly, until they have something like this in place, I've decided not to play at all. Ever since they decided to go with micro-updates, most patches have caused problems sometimes to the point of unplayability. Until I'm able to control the version I want to play and have others be able to play with me, I really don't see the point in frustrating myself with it.
