VR tends to have lots of technical issues to support both VR and non-VR at the same time, and it also tends to affect gameplay. Most games seem to be either VR or non-VR, rarely both from what I've seen. I'd be happy to be proven wrong. As for me, I *can* play VR using https://www.vorpx.com, but I tend not to. I can't easily "alt-tab" other windows to check https://valheim.fandom.com/wiki/Valheim_Wiki for questions that pop up, watch a tutorial in YT while building, enjoy sipping my coffee, or interact with my my wife and house-pets.
And I think this is a normal problem that keeps the VR audience somewhat small except for "get out of your chair and swing those arms" type games that would have me accidentally punching my wife or stepping on the house cat.
Again, these are factors I suspect keep the VR fan base *small* compared to normal releases, and a reason for the developers to simply not factor it in since the base gameplay isn't designed with VR in mind like it is for VR-only titles. Why build in "standard" and *then* hop into VR, if VR is the end-all, be-all everything?
