When I travel with Karve:
1. I use a hoe to chop out a small wedge to dock so it doesn’t float away
2, work bench nearby to repair and prevent despawn.
3 only in Meadows as trolls and any other biome spawn can easily demolish a harve
4 if I plan to hang out and explore I fence the boat and my shack. Usually 500 wood for a small perimeter fence that includes dock. Nice to use a discovered shack by the water
