The fishing system sucks and is not worth it currently, It seems like something half thrown together with little thought but that's fine since there are many other things they need to focus on. I will give them the benefit of the doubt that they flesh out the fishing once more major objectives are taken care of. I love fishing in games but I wouldn't expect them to have a super fleshed-out fishing system at this point.
