Bronze Atgeir begs to differ, it can easily carry you to the plains if you learn how to use it and then is still useful for harvesting barley and flax.

I see your point. The Atgeir is really good, but you can just skip the bronze Atgeir and craft the iron one, don't you think? I've been using the spear and got through most of the early areas even the swamp.
