If you have problems with spawning in your garden same as it happens to me, i actually have greys, boars, deers. And my garden is a huge one. The only way i've found to get less crops damages is to make little areas with fenses inside the garden. When they spawn they can't no more damage all the garden but only a small amount of veggies.
