Mantain an static base in this place requires many courage because these enemyes track you constantly in long distances.

I think it may be your problem, or will be in the future.

My first portal is in abandoned dvergr tower, the closest an enemy has gotten to it is when random seekers fly into the tower base and either grill themselves in the hearth I placed there or just stop and I fight them off. That leaves only gjall but they can't burn things quickly enough through stone or black marble. The other portal is in the citadel fort, so yeah, not a problem.
