That's a cool trick! But just to clarify, I'm not worried about playing the game the way it's intended, I just kill them right now. I'm just commenting that I think there should be a way to peacefully get them. Luring a monster in to kill them instead is a smart work around but is still you killing them, the game just doesn't recognise it that way.
