I feel like they should leave that role to actual players. A “lost boys” kind of faction would generate the usual rpg tropeholes, like 1- how come they haven’t conquered all of valheim already, and therefore: 2- why are you better than all of them combined?

Well if you read those runestones you'll find that Astrid took 7 years to figure out you had to kill the forsaken but it was only till Odin must of thought "what the hell are you doing" and he wrote it out in stones on the gorund for her lol. That might explain why they haven't conquered valheim cause some people are like Astrid. And also you have an abundance of real players that don't go past swamps soooo yeah, does that answer why random npcs wouldn't have conquered valheim?
