before first boss make a little wooden fence around base easy , after first boss all waste rock drop around base to make high dirt mound not even trolls can get you but make sure if you have big base to have work benches covering a lot of area to stop small creatures rez ing .
Theres an easy way around everything , next boss make a ring of fires as long as it doesn t rain it will take half his health off or nearly kill him , he will destroy a few though . I think its good having those little attacks , if you want it tougher play in a bigger group the game gets much tougher with bigger and bigger groups of people its fun .
