jonnin replied to there is a swamp that borders plains biome is it dangerous to set up in that swamp? January 19, 2023 @ 12:04:36 pm PST
The critters and enemy (a boar is a critter here) will engage in an all out war at the boarders of biomes, and skeletons (not sure about draghr) fight everything.
this can make it safer and better to live there; one of my best homes is a meadows/plains area that fills with deer and boar corpses every night, necks too, greylings and GD die in droves, its a loot pinata extravaganza, and often I go out and cap the plains enemy after all the other stuff is dead and pile it all up.
its safer because they will focus on each other, the human is not prioritized and can escape them all.
Its dangerous because the fighting and noise and all attracts lots of enemy along the border and you will encounter some plains enemy if you get too close.
The swamp is not usually appealing for any sort of real base, just a campsite/portal usually. You can do it, and it has those invincible trees you can build into and other structures you can reclaim, but its always rainy and there isn't anything special, and the night mobs can fly so can't keep them out of the base as easily.
