I have a spot on my seed that is on my first island. There is swamp, right near the southern tip of the island, at the end of the black forest (where it's supposed to be). However, there is a tiny strip of plains right next to it. If I take the wrong path, and get too close to the plains, I get obliterated by a goblin or something from the plains.
