If later fish gave more raw for higher stam fights rather than having levels (however amusing giant fish on stands are), and stamina started out at skill 0 where it was in the old system rather than very nerfed, then maybe it would work. That would be a breaking change though and some people are pretty determined to keep their very first ever world - so I can't see the devs doing more than tweaks now.

You're thinking about potential mechanical benefits by getting 'later level' fishes for food?

I'm still not sure what the end purpose of fishing in Valheim is going to be. Fishing exists in many other games, often as a side feature, but I can't say I've played any of them (aside from Gone Fish'n..).

Is it mostly a side feature where the goal is to catch them all, with a few recipes as a bonus?
Or will the mechanics be expanded upon, to a point when you'll get enough benefits to warrant fishing even if you're not a collector?
