Yes! Oh and meat hooks for the walls/ceiling or could hang the meat on a metal cooking rack and remove the fire so they stay fresh.

You can already do that with the large iron cooking rack.
Use two campfires instead of a hearth , remove one after putting meat on it, and voila! Permanent decoration of your cooking prowess.
