Screw all these progression types, dude. I think devs should go further and make next logical thing happen - equalize stats of all enemies, armor, weapons, food. In-game progression must not be forced. It should be up to us to decide how we want to look like while exploring different biomes. We should decide what food does our character eat. Biome difficulty scaling takes away our ability to chose how we play the game, rendering most of the content effectively useless.
I paid money for this game and if I want to roleplay mushroom-fed druidess in leather armour strolling around freely in Mistlands, I expect that I would be able to do so.

I genuinely cannot tell if you are kidding.

I actually do think people should be able to choose play style. but that also means challenge should be possible.

My favourite example of this is The Long Dark. You can tailor the funt out of the experience. I usually just go camping, but if I want a nightmare on ice then I have at it.

Thinking about it, I'd rather the devs concentrate on a tough challenge. I need them to craft something hard, but doable. I can make it easier by cheating in stuff if I really want to.
