They do kill your lifestock, that is true. I guess that's why some people put them away from their farms, so they don't get attacked when a raid comes. Or you cover them up completely.

If either of them attack, just move somewhere within the red circle where they will only attack you and nothing else. Dragons can be easily blocked, Bats easily killed until the two minutes are over. Then you kill the dragons.

Mobs from raids only care about you, and vent their frustration on something else, when you're not reachable.

Not entirely true about mobs only caring about you. They have two priorities: the players within a base, and visible crafting stations. If you get some distance but there is a forge nearby, they might just start breaking the forge instead. Then they target tames.
