playing solo you'll only get a couple trolls at a time. Just have a good bow and a stack of arrows. They won't bother with your buildings if you're outside so kite them around. events only last a couple of minutes. I don't even bother with walls after i found out they focus on you over breaking things. Just be ready to dodge roll and pop your Eikthyr buff.
