No, the game needs the right new content. The mods that "improve" the game by "rebalancing" it in a way you like may, or may not, be what the Iron Gate want to do; they may, or may not, be what most other players want. I have seen plenty of mods that make the game "easier" to play - and completely destroy the way the developers have said they want it to be.

If the modders are so fantastic, why don't they go off and invent, design, and write their own game? Answer: because it's hard - it's much easier to hack around with somebody else's code.

As for "more content should be easy to add" - I have to ask: do you write software professionally and have paying customers for what you write?
