This isn't a bug, it's a feature. It's not really that big of a deal. Just user error on your part. GIT GUD.

In all seriousness, if you really want help, maybe don't end your post like an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

This could be a bug, but I do doubt it. I leave my ship for days without it going poof. When it does go poof it is usually because a mob found it.

Mobs could also be weakening it enough that when the tide level changes the ship is low health and touching land was enough to destroy it.

As for your lost items. If you build a platform above the items and jump off. You will submerge underwater enough that spamming "E" should work to get the items back.
