and I "sculpted" some parts of the mountains into basically upright pylons, so I could use them as cover. I'd keep moving so the pylons were between me and moder, then step out to shoot.

I didn't stand directly behind the pylons, that turned out to be a bad idea, but kept a pretty good distance back from them. The main idea was to let their attacks hit the pylons instead of me.

It was a bit of work, but I came back and killed moder numerous times, so I got to reuse my "arena" repeatedly.
