By getting multiple hits I mean that it used to only hit one surface item at a time.
Now it acts like the ax in wood where all items in the swing arc take damage.
Add the double ore spawns and getting 4 damage numbers with one swing is easy.

Instead of one hit on one part in a swamp muck pile you get damage through the whole arc on whatever it passes through so you just can chew up the piles.
