They are sometimes very hard to find especially with the regular snow storms which reduce visibility close to null. Then it seems that small mountain ranges mostly dont have any. The Highest number of mountain caves i could find so far had been 3 caves in one of the largest mountain areas on my map. I might not have found all yet though.
