There are actually items that are designed to cope with the mistland environment. There are many things in this game that just require trying a few different approaches or a bit of figuring out. If you don't want to think for yourself, don't enjoy figuring things out on your own as part of the game progression, and don't see any value in limitations that require ingenuity and creativity to overcome, just google mistlands survival and don't frustrate yourself. also use high stamina foods in an enviroment where i'm totally blind and could fall off a cliff at any moment - that's brilliant.
