this is old but are people really surprised? The amount of particles the game throws at you in a snowstorm is insane. I can actually bring my 3080, 5800x3D with 32gb 3600 CL16 rig to its knees at 3440x1440p in a snowstorm at my mountain base. It will run 130+ in my base but as soon as the storm starts, and I look towards my base with the fires active... I get a whopping... 29fps... Yes 29. The games just not very well optimised as well.
