And if *you* read the patch notes, you might have caught that they've barely done anything regarding bugs and such, either. Which isn't to say it was a particularly buggy game to begin with or that there's any reason they can't work on both aspects.I agree with Nyu. Devs are paid a good amount of money and there is nothing to show for it that is substantial. Little ai tweaks and textures only gets you so far before the hype fades. The mod community does everything out of passion and is producing far more than the original devs. They have produced a great game but piggy backing on the success of sales still at this point with no content to show for it after the fact is a bad business move. I have about 750 hours currently. And about half of that is just working with mods to put my own content in because devs are nowhere to be seen. Either make the game mod compatible w/ proper support or produce more. I'd have zero issue forking 20$ per expansion or whatever if that gets it sped up. Early access argument can only stand for so much longer. That can be seen from how low the concurrent players status is.
If you read the patch notes you might have caught that they are working on bugs and unforeseen issues that have arisen due to the amount of people jumping on board all at once.
Personally I would rather have them iron out the issues rather than just constantly pushing new constant to cover over problems (sim city prime example).
This all comes down to opinions. Mine is just coming from an appreciation standpoint.
My opinion is from the standpoint that the only reason I bought this game was the promise of there being more in the future - promises that they've so far completely failed to even vaguely begin delivering on, even by their most conservative estimates at the time. If you're happy with what's already there alone, that's great, I'm happy for you. Just understand other people may not be and are going to be rightfully miffed and feel cheated.
