Stomping on a fire is one way to put it out, so why shouldn't fires take damage from walking on them in valheim?
If your cooked food ends up in the fire you just have to find a better place for your cooking station.

There is no ward, its a loud as hell thumping/exploding sound when i stand on its edges that ticks its health down until it gets destroyed if i don't get off, and i don't see how a litterall stone hearth should start breaking because im standing on its STONE rim to retrieve food from it
