In or around the door, do you have any dirt sticking through the floor? That small raised sliver can actually prevent getting through a door too.

I have often found this to be the case. The ground is too high on one side of the door or the other. Use your hoe to level it out and fix the problem. I also tend to use the gate instead of the door for this reason.
