I'm right there with you. Was it Microsoft Xbox that introduced this pointlessness? I distinctly remember there being a direct correlation with its release. I was all for it initially because i honestly thought those points from said achievements could be used as some sort of currency.

Nope. Just useless "gamer clout". I am increasingly thankful for relating so little to people nowadays.
